I made a promise to myself that I would work my way up to at least Intermediate Level with Microsoft Word 2010 In Depth Wempen 1st edition and that really requires a book beyond any of the fine "basics" volumes. There are features such as styles, templates, themes and many of the editing functions that really need to be understood in some depth both to properly apply them and to prevent them from messing you up. the best way to approach this is to go to an actual bookstore and examine a couple of the advanced volumes and see if the layout and language of one appeals over another. What they cover differentiates them less than how they are organized. Microsoft Word 2010 In Depth Wempen 1st edition In Depth works well for me.
